Anyone can listen—even a mule. But it takes real empathy to go beyond hearing and actually understand. To prove it, we gave Ken Garff’s long-running “We Hear You” campaign a refresh, taking it a step further by showing what happens when two completely opposite people genuinely connect: a hug.

After nearly two years of crafting fresh campaigns around the “We Hear You” tagline and pitching half a dozen concepts with multiple headlines each time, this idea was the first (and only) one to make the client laugh during a pitch meeting. It’s further proof that sometimes, listening leads to great things—even chuckles.
